Welcome! I'm Michele, the founder of It Is Well Counseling
I work with individuals ages 15 and up who are feeling weighed down by anxiety, self-doubt, or the constant sense that they have to keep everything together. Many of the people I work with describe overthinking, feeling on edge, avoiding things that feel overwhelming, or struggling to feel confident in who they are. My goal is to offer a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what’s been going on for you.
My approach is person-centered, which means our work starts with your story. I believe therapy works best when you feel heard, respected, and supported, not rushed or judged. From there, I integrate cognitive-behavioral therapy to help you notice patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to develop practical tools for managing anxiety in everyday life. We focus on skills you can actually use, while also creating room for self-compassion and growth.
Together, we work on calming anxiety, building self-awareness, and strengthening a sense of self-worth that isn’t tied to perfection or external expectations. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I see it as a place to better understand yourself, learn new ways of coping, and move toward the life you want to be living.


Our work centers on creating a safe, person-centered space where anxiety can soften, thoughts can be gently reshaped, and individuals can reconnect with their inherent worth.
